As the school year progresses, it's great to see how teachers can get students eager to learn.
"I would like to nominate my fifth grade teacher Mrs. Tess Poppert for Outstanding Teacher of the Month," wrote fifth-grader Jaxson Simmerman, who nominated Mrs. Poppert for October's Outstanding Teacher award. Mrs. Poppert is a fifth-grade teacher at Cozad Elementary.
Jaxson says she uses maps and diagrams in class which he loves because they help him study; which is why Mrs. Poppert loves to teach.
"I enjoy being able to see them learn and grow, especially over the years, over the school year," said Mrs. Poppert.
NTV Chief Forecaster Kent Boughton presented the award at a special school assembly Monday, Oct. 15. Runza is also helping Mrs. Poppert celebrate by providing the whole class with free meals from Runza.
Congratulations to Mrs. Tess Poppert for being NTV's Outstanding Teacher for October.
