The Buffalo County Community Partners and Good Samaritan Hospital are teaming up with the Prevention Institute of Oakland, Calif. to bring the community a one day training seminar on the prevention of violence and bullying.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday Nov. 13th and run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Younes Conference Center. It is free and lunch will be provided at the event.
This training aims to educate attendees on the Spectrum of Prevention, a step-by-step intervention process, and will deepen their understanding of prevention, risk, and resilience factors at work in our communities.
Topics that the seminar will focus on include:
- Learn 3 Keys to Preventing Violence
- Identify Potential Barriers
- Explore Possible Approaches
Attendees will also receive information on strategies to prevent violence, specifically bullying.
