Grand Island- The "Be Well" diabetes information fair will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, in Conference Room 2/3 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
The public is invited to attend the event, which will be packed with ideas to help individuals manage their diabetes.
The information fair will also include door prizes and giveaways.
Saint Francis Medical activities will include diabetes education from certified diabetes educators, body-fat screenings and exercise advice from an exercise specialist, blood-pressure screening from Cardiac Rehab, information on managing diabetes during sick days from the Emergency Department and much more.
The program is a part of Saint Francis Medical Center's "Be Well" community education series and was made possible through a generous donation to the Saint Francis Foundation from the estate of Olga Rathman, who witnessed the effects diabetes had on several members of her family before her death in November 2008 at the age of 100.
