Two women driving near Chadron Wednesday were involved in an accident after the driver suffered from a fatal attack.
Authorities say Donna "Peggy" Tausan, brought the car to a safe stop east of Chadron on Highway 20 after Joyce Dryer, 77, lost control of the car as she suffered what Dawes County Attorney Vance Haug called, "a sudden cardiac-related" event.
Dryer lost control of her
car, and it ran into a roadside ditch. Tausan, reached over, grabbed the steering wheel, returned
the car to the roadway and brought it to a stop.
