Nebraska will get more time to develop health insurance options.
The state will have until December 14th to submit its plan for a health insurance exchange.
Some states had been waiting until the presidential election to design plans, knowing that the outcome of the election would affect the federal program.
These states now say they need more time to design a plan.
States will still have to declare by next Friday whether they will create their own exchange or if they will default to a federal program.
