Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol made contact with more than 80 motorists during special enforcement efforts before and after the Saturday NU-Penn State Game.
Two citations were issued for driving while intoxicated, 38 citations and warnings were given for speeding and three were issued for failure to wear a seatbelt.
The special enforcement designed to help ease traffic congestion and reduce the potential for injury crashes was the second in a series of special efforts planned for the remaining Husker home games.
Traffic enforcement will also be conducted during the Saturday NU-Minnesota game.
The additional enforcement is paid for thanks in part to a $6,570 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).
