Kearney To Host Future Shrine Bowls - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

Organizers of the Nebraska Shrine Bowl announced that the game will be held in Kearney in 2013 and 2014.

The games will be played at UNK's Ron & Carol Cope stadium at Foster Field. Officials say Memorial Stadium in Lincoln could no longer host the football game due to new NCAA rules.

Funds from the Kearney Visitors office, along with funds from 'Team Kearney' will be used to help offset the costs of hosting such a prestigious event.
