If you're a hopeful customer looking for Hostess products before they run dry, you might find yourself already running into empty shelves.
Masons Supermarket told NTV News that within minutes of the announcement people were coming in buying what was left of the iconic brand.
In the Minden area only two brands, Hostess and Sara Lee, filled the shelves of supermarkets. Now that the Twinkies maker is going out of business, the shelf space at Mason's Supermarket is left for Sara Lee.
"Within the day that they said Hostess was going under, our shelves were cleared," Masons Superstore co-owner, Riley Space said. "We thought it would take months. Immediately it went under."
By Friday evening Mason's Supermarket was sold out of Hostess products. Many places in the area also no longer provide the brand including Kearney's Walmart.
The twinkie is not dead yet. If you're patient, your guaranteed to see it again when they open the Nations Millennium Time Capsule in 2100.
There is also a chance someone else will buy the rights to many of the company's treats.
