An attempt to end an ongoing dispute results in three stab wounds to the back.

Police confirm a stabbing took place on West Second Avenue in Hastings Friday night at the Second Street Slammer.

The incident happened around the bar's closing time in a parking lot across from the building. Police say three individuals were involved in the argument, with two referring to each other as father and son.

Andrew Everheart of Hastings was the fourth person to enter the argument, but ended up getting three stab wounds in the back. He was transported to the hospital and was released Saturday morning.

Shawn Henry was arrested for second degree assault, and David Inmon was arrested as an accessory in the case.

Officials are not releasing anymore information at this point as the incident remains under investigation.
