An incident in which a Grand Island baby nearly drowned in her bath is being considered an accident.
The 9-month-old baby girl was in the bathtub Monday evening when she slipped under the water for a short time.
The baby was taken to St. Francis Medical Center after the incident, around 8 p.m., where she was assessed to be in stable condition.
Grand Island police officer Butch Hurst says investigators and doctors cleared the baby's caregivers of any wrongdoing.
