BBB Says: Protect Yourself this Holiday Season - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

The BBB is sharing some additional information on holiday scams to protect yourself during this busy and stressful time that the holidays pose. 

• Identity theft at the mall: While you're struggling with bags of presents, identity thieves are out there and see this as an opportunity to steal your wallet or look over your shoulder to photograph or copy your debit or credit card numbers, especially with the ability to take photos with cell phones. 

BBB Advice: Don't let yourself get bogged down in purchases or lose track of your wallet. Know where your credit and debit cards are always and cover the key pad when entering your pin number while purchasing items or getting money from an ATM.  Make sure you put your card back in your wallet after each purchase.
