Crane River Theater is thrilled to present a holiday celebration for the community of Kearney and surrounding areas. Let It Snow! will feature performances from local musicians and groups, as well as select artists from across the country.
More than one hundred performers from all ages will take the stage at the Merryman Performing Arts Center in Kearney on December 8 for a matinee and evening performance. Classic Christmas moments will jump from the movie screen and into the voices of those performing.
White Christmas from Holiday Inn, Santa Clause is Coming to Town from Elf, and Where Are You Christmas from How the Grinch Stole Christmas are just a few of the moments that will be shared with audiences.
Mary Henning, a well-known artist and storyteller will narrate the production, while six premier groups and seven outstanding soloists will perform musical selections. Among the groups performing in Kearney are the OK Sisters, Patent Pending Barbershop Quartet, Grace Notes, Highfalutin Flute Ensemble, 4 for 1, Danse Noel and the Kearney High School Chorale.
Among the groups performing in Holdrege are the OK Sisters, The Spencer Hanson Group, Gold Dust, Lead Me Home, Holdrege High Concert Choir and a newly formed Holdrege Children's Choir.
This will mark the first time that all of these groups have performed together, and Crane River Theater is honored to share the stage with them. Santa Clause will even be making a special appearance before each of the performances, so kids are encouraged to come early so they can share their Christmas wishes with him. It will truly be a celebration for the whole family.
