As the holiday season approaches, NTC will be actively collecting toys for the charity Toys for Tots, and is calling upon the public to help.
PALM HARBOR, FL (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
There are about 16,000 homeless people in the Tampa area, and one in five of them are children, according to CBS news (1). Nationwide Title Clearing(NTC), a leading service provider for the residential mortgage industry with clients that include eight of the top 10 residential mortgage servicers in the country, is continuing in their community efforts by providing children with toys this holiday season. NTC is again participating in the Toys for Toys® charity drive.
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(C)(3) not-for-profit public charity, which serves as the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. As stated by the organization, the goal of the program is “to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.”
Although NTC’s clientele in the residential mortgage banking industry are located throughout the country, NTC CEO John Hillman explained that the company’s corporate culture is focused on giving back to their local community where the organization and its employees reside. “For the second year in a row, in addition to the toys collected at our Palm Harbor office, we will also contribute by donating hundreds of toys,” commented Hillman. “We are also encouraging local businesses and restaurants to help us bring holiday spirit and joy to children in our community.”
The Toys for Tots toy drive represents just a portion of what NTC does for the Tampa area. The company helps the community with regular clothing drives, food drives and blood drives throughout the year. NTC also participates in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Palm Harbor fundraising event in the spring.
NTC’s toy drop collection period lasts through December 13, 2012 at their Palm Harbor office and NTC encourages Tampa Bay residents to provide at least one unwrapped toy. The local Toys for Tots center is also accepting donations online; financial gifts may be submitted via credit card and directed in care of the Marine Reserve Unit in Tampa to support local children.
