Gothenburg Man Pleads No Contest to Sexually Assaulting Another - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

A Gothenburg man has pleaded no contest in Dawson County District Court to sexually assaulting another man.

Chad Bauer, 44, entered his plea in exchange for a reduced charge. He was originally charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Prosecutors say Bauer took a 22–year–old man for a ride in his truck where he forced the younger man to perform a sexual act.

Bauer remains free on $5,000 bail.

Bauer's sentencing is scheduled for February 15; he faces up to five years in prison.
