A central Nebraska winery that lost large parts of its operations in a fire
is once again selling wine and working to rebuild.
Mick and Loretta McDowell of Miletta Vista winery held their first sale since the
fire occurred in June on Saturday. The McDowells were able to take about 800 bottles of wine that they salvaged from the fire to aid in the sale.
The Miletta Vista winery hopes to reopen next March.
Customers like Betty
Carlson will be ready to support the winery. She says her family used to
go to the winery nearly every weekend for dinner and wine.
Mick McDowell says he appreciates all the support, and he's looking forward to bottling the 2012 crop later this month.
