Just Over 100 People Arrested in "You Drink & Drive. You Lose" C - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

The Nebraska State Patrol arrested 101 people for driving while intoxicated during their "You Drink & Drive. You Lose" campaign.

The campaign ran from Dec. 14 through Jan. 1, with funding help provided by a $28,000 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.

Besides the 101 DWI arrests, troopers also issued 1,555 speeding citations, 98 driving under suspension citations and 141 citations for no proof of insurance.

Other citations include: 320 seat belt citations and warnings, 51 child restraint citations and warnings, 49 minor in possession citations and 55 open container citations.

Motorist assistance was also provided to 714 travelers.
