Johanns Announces New Committee Assignments - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns announced his committee assignments for the 113^th Congress Thursday.

Johanns will serve on the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry committee as well as the Appropriations; Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; and Veterans Affairs committees.

"I'm honored to serve on these committees, not only for their importance to our nation but also to Nebraska," Johanns said.

"Reining in spending, seeing a reform-minded farm bill signed into law and providing our military and veterans with the services they need have been some of my top priorities since being elected to the Senate. My committee assignments for the next Congress will allow me to continue those efforts, as well as influence other important legislation moving through the Senate."
