The 2012 annual fundraising campaign for Kearney's Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska was a success.
The campaign which ended Dec. 31, exceeded the $20,000 goal by 28 percent. Campaign chairs Donna Grossart and Thelma Simpson reported that $25,726 was raised.
"We are so grateful to the generosity of the
Kearney community and the many area volunteers who made this year's phonathon a
success," states Grossart.
Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska's director of development Tom Conlon said the funds raised go to support pre-employment and employment programs, with special emphasis towards Goodwill's developmental disabilities program.
"Donors can
rest assured knowing every penny raised will stay here in Kearney, helping
people with disabilities and other barriers secure the life skills and
employment they need to gain and keep a job."
