A Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Accused of Stealing from County - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

A sheriff's deputy for Hall County has been accused of stealing money from the county.

Kevin Bombeck, 34, of Wood River has been charged with felony theft in Hall County Court.

Hall County Attorney Mark Young wouldn't discuss details of the case that alleges Bombeck stole money from March 9 to Oct. 1 of last year. 

Hall County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chris Rea says Bombeck has been on administrative leave since Thursday and the charge was filed Friday.

Bombeck joined the department in August 2010.
