Mayor Jay Vavricek's advisory council is meeting Monday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. to discuss the role of the city administrator in Grand Island.
Twenty-four citizens were selected by Vavricek and accepted the
position to be part of the Mayor's Advisory Council to discuss current issues facing the city.
The group's purpose is to give the mayor more insight into public opinion and gain greater community awareness.
The group meets the third Monday every month at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 100 E. First St. Mayor's Advisory Council meetings are open for members of the public to observe
and to listen to the discussion taking place.
