A 22-year-old Grand Island mother who police say left her child with a babysitter last Tuesday before going missing has been found safe.
The Grand Island Police Department confirmed that Maria de Los Angeles-Ventura was found Tuesday -- a week after disappearing.
Officials and family members say she left her child with a babysitter, near 6th and Sycamore, for what was supposed to be 30 minutes sometime last Tuesday, and never returned.
Relatives reported her missing last Friday night, shortly after 11 p.m.
No further details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance have been released.
