One Dead After Semi Rear Ends Van On 1-80 Thursday Night - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

A 67-year-old Texas woman has died after a semi-truck rammed the back of her van on I-80.

The accident occurred a little after 8 p.m. Thursday near Gothenburg.

Carol Leonetti was driving eastward when she stopped her van. A trailing semi soon struck the van, knocking it into the median.

The semi then crossed into and through the westbound lanes, ending up in a ditch.

No injuries were reported to the driver of the truck.
