John F. Tabachnick M.D., has been appointed new clinical chair of family medicine at Summit Medical Group.

Summit Medical Group is pleased to announce that John F. Tabachnick, M.D., has been appointed as Clinical Chair of Family Medicine.

In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Tabachnick is attending physician in the family medicine department at Overlook Medical Center, clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, and a preceptor for the Overlook Medical Center family practice residency program.

Dr. Tabachnick is chairman and trustee for the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Union County Medical Society, American Red Cross-Raritan Valley Chapter, and New Jersey Medical Society.

A recipient of the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians Physician of the Year Award, Dr. Tabachnick has earned the MDx Medical, Inc. Patients' Choice America's Most Compassionate Doctor Award. He is a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” and 2011 and 2012 New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctor.”
