Interstate 80 has been reopened between Aurora and York after being closed most of the morning due to icy roads and blowing snow.
The snow covered stretch of interstate was closed going both directions early Wednesday morning because visibility is low due to blowing snow and roads are slick due to ice and snow.
The westbound lanes of I-80 have been closed near Lincoln as well because of jackknifed semitrailers have made travel unsafe.
The Nebraska Department of Roads worked to clear motor vehicle crashes and reopen roads and were able to have all state roads open around noon.
