NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) — A North Platte school principal who was the subject of an investigation has resigned.
Washington
Elementary principal Shane Alexander was put on paid administrative
leave on Jan. 14. The school board accepted his resignation at a special
board meeting on Tuesday.
Alexander had been Washington's
principal since fall 2011. He was principal at Eisenhower Elementary for
three years before moving to the job at Washington Elementary.
District
personnel director Tami Eshleman declined to comment on the resignation
or investigation, saying it's a confidential employment matter.
