Average gas prices in Nebraska have risen 13.8 cents
per gallon in the past week, now averaging $3.50 per gallon, according to GasBuddy's weekly survey.
Gas prices have also risen nationally over the past week, increasing an average 14.6 cents per gallon to $3.48 per gallon.
Prices Sunday were 13.7 cents per gallon higher than
the same day one year ago and 38.3 cents per gallon higher than just one month
ago.
Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com says there isn't likely to be much relief at the pump in sight.
"The national average has ticked higher in the last
week, as rising oil prices have put upward pressure on gasoline prices,"
said DeHaan. "Unfortunately
for angry motorists, there doesn't seem to be much relief in sight, at least
for the time being, as retail prices continue to climb in virtually all areas
of the country."
