The
Sycamores seem mad, but their eccentric ways soon show us that the rest of the
world is madder. Tony, the attractive young son of the rich, but
unhappy Kirbys, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to
dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening.
The shock sustained
by the Kirbys, who are invited to eat cheap food and participate in the family's
game, shows Alice that marriage is out of the question. Tony,
however, knows that the Sycamores are right and his own family wrong, and
refuses to give her up.
This delightful comedy will entertain you
with surprises concerning the manufacture of fireworks, the visit of the
Internal Revenue Department and possibly even the appearance of the Grand
Duchess of Russia!
