A large number of steers were reported missing from Hayes and Hitchcock counties.
The Colorado owners of the 450 Holsteins that went missing are offering a $10,000 reward for information regarding their disappearance.
Bob Elliott, assistant branch
manager of Producers Livestock Marketing Association at Greeley, Colo., said Monday the steers were placed in a Nebraska grow yard
through the association's feeding and grazing program.
He says the cattle were bought in Colorado and then moved to Nebraska.
Dave
Horton, Nebraska Brand Committee investigator from Alma, has confirmed he is investigating the case.
