Fairfield Annual Fundraiser Supports the Local Volunteer Fire an - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

The Fairfield Annual Pancake/Pork Sandwich Feed is being held Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Fairfield Fire Hall.

The event raises money for the Fairfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Pancakes will be served from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. and then pork sandwiches will be served from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Along with food, there will be lipid and cholesterol blood checks from 7- 10 a.m., Husker players will be signing autographs from 5-7 p.m., and a bidding auction with Col. Bob Hoins will begin at 6 p.m.

Raffle tickets will be sold all day for a chance to win 1/4 beef cut and wrapped, $100 gift certificates, 1/2 hog cut and wrapped, and other items donated by area businesses plus a silent auction for adults and a kid's raffle.

All proceeds go towards the purchase of new equipment and on going training.
