Fischer Named to Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

U.S. Senator Deb Fischer has been named Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities.

The subcommittee is responsible for overseeing policies and programs to counter emerging threats, including the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, and illegal drugs; homeland defense; technology base programs; special operations programs; and emerging operational concepts.

"I look forward to working in a bipartisan manner with Subcommittee Chair Kay Hagan to counter these threats and ensure the U.S. military is the best-equipped, finest fighting force in the world," said Fischer.
