With the snow leaving mounds of snow throughout Nebraska,
many cities have declared a Snow Emergency. According to the NTV Weather
Closings website, as of Friday afternoon the following cities have requested to
have cars removed from the emergency snow routes:
- Albion: Snow Emergency declared Friday until further notice.
- Cozad: Snow Emergency declared for Thursday and Friday.
- Gothenburg: Snow Emergency declared Wednesday until further
notice.
- Grand Island: Snow Emergency declared Wednesday until noon
Friday.
- Kearney: Downtown Snow Emergency declared between hours of 2
-6 a.m. on Saturday.
- Minden: Snow Emergency declared 6 p.m. Thursday through noon
on Saturday.
- Osceola: Snow Emergency declared until 8 p.m. Friday.
- St. Paul: Snow Emergency declared Wednesday until Friday at
6 p.m.
Residents are advised to move vehicles off emergency snow
routes or risk being towed.
