The Women of Distinction Banquet and Program is being held Thursday, Feb. 28 with activities starting at 6 p.m. and dinner and the program starting at 6:30 p.m.
Dinner will be catered by Whitefoot and includes marinated chicken breast,
bed of rice pilaf, green beans almondine, side salad and roll, and home-made pie.
Tickets are $40 prior to February 26 and $45 afterwards. Tickets can be purchased at 211 E Fonner Park Road, Grand Island or by
calling (308)384-9922 to purchase with credit card.
A raffle will also be held during the banquet. Tickets are one raffle ticket for $5, three raffle tickets for $10 or seven raffle
tickets for $20. The raffle will feature:
- Sterling Silver/14 k gold necklace and earring set valued at
$1300, donated by Howard's Jewelry (please include their logo that I will send
as soon as I get it)
- Or one night's stay at the Best Western Plus Grand Island
Inn & Suites
The program that evening will
include the announcement of girls selected to participate in the YWCA's Leadership
Youth Council, special recognition for the original Woman of Distinction -
Marval Hornady, recognition of all of the women nominated and culminate
with the announcement of the 2013 Woman of Distinction.
