Lincoln Man Linked to Upland Child Prostitution Case Gets Prison - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

A 34-year-old Lincoln man has been sentenced to years in prison for possessing nude photos of a 14-year-old Upland girl whose mother advertised her daughters online as available for sex.

Brian McCarthy was sentenced Tuesday to six to 10 years behind bars after pleading guilty to four counts of possession of child pornography. McCarthy is already listed on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry because of a 2000 sexual assault of a child conviction.

Authorities say Michelle Randall sent the photos to McCarthy after she met him online last year.

Randall has been convicted of prostituting her 7- and 14-year-old daughters by using online ads across south-central Nebraska. Her maximum prison sentences across three counties total 170 years.
