Alma School's Nora Christensen February Outstanding Teacher - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

Teachers love to see their students get excited by what they're learning, and February's Outstanding Teacher is honored for just that.

Alma's Nora Christensen gets the honors this time around. Her student Carter Davis nominated her for reasons ranging from fun science experiments, to taking her class to see the movie "The Hobbit" after reading the book.

Mrs. Christensen says it's the students' creativity and love of learning that makes this award so special.

"It makes me feel good because that's what you try to encourage them to do, to go the extra mile and when one does that, it just makes you feel good," said honoree Nora Christensen.

Congratulations to Alma's Nora Christensen for being NTV's February Outstanding Teacher. Her 5th grade class will get sandwiches from Runza.
