A strange trail of evidence leads to the arrest of two Scottsbluff teens.
Upon responding to a convenience store break-in late Sunday night, Scottsbluff police noticed a trail of Butterfinger bars leading from the store.
Police followed the trail to a nearby apartment complex. They found cowboy boots in the laundry room that matched the ones worn by a suspect in the store's security footage.
The evidence led to the arrest of two 17-year-olds early Monday morning.
