Kearney's 20th Street to be Closed for Water Main Work - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

The city of Kearney Utilities Department and Midlands Contracting Inc. have announced plans to close 20th Street from Avenue O to Avenue Q beginning Monday, March 11.

The street will be closed to allow for the construction of a new water main. The construction should take about a week, weather permitting.

City officials advise residents to consider using 22nd Street and N Avenue to avoid the construction area. Those that must drive through should use caution to avoid construction workers and other traffic.
