North Platte Man Jailed For Attempted Murder - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

A 25-year-old man has been taken to the Lincoln County Detention Center after allegedly attempting to shoot a 37-year-old woman inside her home.

Miguel Fernandez is accused of attempted 2nd degree homicide and discharging a firearm at a person.

North Platte police officers responded to reports of a disturbance around 1:40 am Monday in the area of the 400 block of North Willow.

The woman told police that Fernandez fired a shotgun at her following an argument. She was not injured in the incident.
