LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Air National Guard has won two national awards from the U.S. Air Force.
The
units were honored on Monday at a ceremony with Gov. Dave Heineman. The
units earned the U.S. Air Force Organizational Excellence Award and the
U.S. Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards.
Heineman says the awards acknowledge that the troops are the best of the best.
The Nebraska
Air National Guard's 155th Medical Group Dental Clinic was also
recognized as the best trained clinic among the entire Air National
Guard. Maj. Gen. Judd Lyons says the award is a significant
accomplishment and shows that the clinical staff is well prepared for
serving overseas.
The Nebraska National Guard Prairie Soldier newspaper was also recognized as the top tabloid-sized publication of the Army National Guard.
