Kearney – The Arc of Buffalo County, the Kearney Family YMCA, and Family Physical Therapy and Sports Center will host an Adaptive Easter Egg Hunt and celebration for children with disabilities and their siblings and families.

The event will run on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to noon at The Kearney Family YMCA, located at 4500 6th Ave.

This free event is for children ages 12 and under with physical, developmental, behavioral, or mental disabilities and their families are welcome as well.

A special invitation is extended for families involved with The Early Development Network, Kearney Area Down Syndrome Group, The Arc of Buffalo County and Kearney Supporting Parents.

Kristen Larsen, Executive Director at The Arc of Buffalo County, is grateful for the support that the Kearney Family YMCA and Family Physical Therapy and Sports Center are providing for this family strengthening event.

"The Kearney Family YMCA continues to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities in our community to access recreational opportunities in an inclusive environment.  Financial support and volunteers from Family Physical Therapy and Sports Center makes it possible to host this large celebration for some 75 children," said Larsen.

Their clinics specialize in orthopedics, balance and mobility, pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, women's health, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and vestibular rehabilitation
