Kearney – The Arc of Buffalo County, the Kearney Family YMCA, and Family Physical Therapy and Sports Center will host an Adaptive Easter Egg Hunt and celebration for children with disabilities and their siblings and families.
The event will run on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to noon at The Kearney Family YMCA, located at 4500 6th Ave.
This free event is for children ages 12 and under with physical, developmental, behavioral, or mental disabilities and their families are welcome as well.
A special invitation is extended for families involved with The Early Development Network, Kearney Area Down Syndrome Group, The Arc of Buffalo County and Kearney Supporting Parents.
Arc staff and volunteers from UNK's Social Work and Service Learning classes, along with professionals from Family Physical Therapy and Sports Center will assist children with making Easter crafts, finding eggs, and playing games. Families are encouraged to pre-register for this opportunity by calling The Arc of Buffalo County at (308) 237-4343.
