TECUMSEH, Neb. (AP) —
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says public access to Burchard
Wildlife Management Area remains closed while repairs continue.
The
work includes repairs on a leaky dam outlet structure, improving access
for boaters and anglers, and fish habitat improvements.
Final
work on the outlet structure is scheduled for this month. The water
level must rise before workers can complete construction of a floating
dock, which is the final piece of the project.
The 145-acre reservoir is in Pawnee County, northeast of the town of Burchard.
