The Upper Big Blue NRD has set a date to open the campground at Recharge Lake.
Recharge Lake is located 1.5 miles west of York on Spur 93D just off of U.S. Hwy 81 and offers a wide variety of activities for the family. The campground will be opened for the season beginning Monday, April 15.
The day use area, outdoor amphitheater, picnic shelters, cooking grills/fire rings, hiking and biking trails, playground, boat dock, and
boat ramp are all currently open.
However, camping is already open at Smith Creek, Oxbow Trail, Pioneer Trail, and Overland Trail, which the Upper Big Blue NRD also owns and manages in conjunction with Recharge Lake.
Recharge Lake is located on a tributary of Beaver Creek and serves as water storage, groundwater recharge and as a recreational area.
