The Upper Big Blue NRD is still accepting tree orders from individuals who may be looking to improve windbreaks, wildlife areas or perform other conservation acts.
The NRD is selling a wide variety of 30 species
of trees, and more than 20 types of shrubs to aid individuals who want to aid in conservation efforts. The seedlings are one to two years old and come with instructions for their planting and care.
Seedlings are sold in bundles
of 25 for $0.90 cents a tree/shrub which translates to $22.50 for a bundle of
25.
To place an order call Patty Kyhn at (402)-362-6601 or visit the
Upper Big Blue NRD website and fill out an order form.
The NRD will plant the trees or shrubs for individuals who order at least 150 trees/shrubs for an additional $0.65 cents a tree/shrub.
To have a planting plan designed for you,
contact your local NRCS office or Ken Feather at the NRD office in York at
