Crane Cache Dash Part of Kearney's Crane Watch Festival - KHGI-TV/KWNB-TV/KHGI-CD-Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings

The 2nd Annual Crane Cache Dash is taking place Sunday, March 24 in Kearney.

The event is a free geocaching treasure hunt. Geocaching is an outdoor race that uses GPS to locate hidden "treasure".

Teams and individuals of all ages are allowed to participate in the event. All that is needed to participate is a car, a GPS unit and appropriate clothing. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.

Registration is taking place from 12:30-1:15 Sunday at the Harmon Park Activity Center, 3100 Fifth Avenue. The race starts at 1:30 p.m. and should conclude by 4 p.m.

Geocaching 101 will be offered during registration.
