Lincoln police have caught the man suspected of shooting at his girlfriend in a Lincoln neighborhood Wednesday causing multiple schools to be locked down.
Officers found 30-year-old Chadrick Fitzgerald in a storage closet at an apartment complex on Thursday. He'd been spotted walking out
of the apartment building that morning but fled as Metro Area Fugitive
Task Force officers approached.
Lincoln North Star High School was placed on lockdown Thursday morning as police searched the area.
Authorities say Fitzgerald is
wanted on a federal warrant and also is suspected of shooting at his
Lincoln girlfriend on Wednesday afternoon following a domestic dispute.
Northeast High School and Pershing Elementary were placed on lockdown for about an hour while police were investigating the shooting Wednesday afternoon.
No one was injured in the incident.
