Nebraska's annual brain injury conference will be held April 4-5 in Kearney, offering information to assist individuals with brain injuries and their families.
The Nebraska Brain Injury Advisory Council will cosponsor the conference as well as a free March 27 national webinar on technology that could benefit individuals with brain injuries.
The two events will be held in recognition of Brain Injury Awareness Month.
The 7th Annual Brain Injury Conference will offer sessions to help individuals and their families address adjustment, coping, acceptance and expressing themselves through journaling. Sessions for professionals will explore substance abuse, behavioral changes and bridging the gap between concussion and the classroom.
Registration for the conference closes March 27, 2013.
Several organizations are cosponsoring the March 27 webinar, A Brain in the Palm of Your Hand: Handheld Devices as Cognitive Aids for Veterans.
