The North Platte hospital expansion is still underway, and making "great" progress for those they serve.
The hospital is expanding by roughly 217,000 square feet, and the five-story, 116-bed patient tower will become fully private. Larger patient areas are to come, as well as rehab areas and information technology centers.
Officials say it is a great benefit to the hospital itself, but it is also enhancement to the patient's experience.
"We really want to transform local healthcare by enhancing the patient's experience; and when a patient is treated in a facility that is not only efficient, but private, and includes the latest and greatest technology, then their experience is better," said Fiona Libsack, vice president of marketing and communications.
The hospital began construction in the summer of 2012 with a completion date of June 2015.
