According to the Nebraska Department of Labor, the state's preliminary unemployment rate for February stayed unchanged from the previous two months at 3.8 percent.
The unemployment report goes on to show that the February unemployment rate is two-tenths lower than last year and less than half the national rate for February, which is sitting at 7.7 percent.
Nebraska's unemployment rate is the second-lowest in the country, with North Dakota claiming the lowest rate.
The tri-cities also saw a lowered unemployment rate for February. Both Grand Island and Hastings micropolitan statistical areas dropped to 3.9 percent from January's 4.4 percent. Kearney's MC dropped from 3.7 percent in January to 3.3 percent.
