Sunday Salute: Clint Hohnstein

Posted: Updated:

This week we would like to salute Clint Hohnstein.

Clint served as a member of the U.S. Army, entering basic training in 1943. The following year he landed in France.

In December of that year Clint was captured by the Germans in "The Battle of the Bulge" and held as a prisoner of war for five months.

Clint was nominated by Dennis Beavers. He said that after the war, Clint worked for Kansas Nebraska Energy.

Clint and his wife Donna eventually settled in Cozad and have made it their home since 1947.

Clint, thank you for your service to our country.
