Central Nebraskans may experience problems receiving emergency weather alerts due to a malfunctioning tower.
The tower's transmitter and "tuning cavity" have been fixed, but the tower itself is in need of repairs. However, those repairs cannot take place until there is a break in the stormy weather hitting the region due to worker safely concerns.
The malfunctions affect TV and radio alerts, but individuals receiving their EAS codes through a private vendor will not be impacted.
Stay tuned to NTV for all the latest weather alerts.
