Scott Phillips - March 2013

Dear NTV,

My math teacher Mr. Phillips is an awesome teacher.

Here are some reasons why.  He is funny in many ways. (too many to name!)  he makes and then shows funny and hilarious videos (that are related to learning) or he just shows videos at the end of the week, only if he thinks we made a lot of progress that week.

Sometimes he gives us songs about what we are learning about, and it helps us learn it better, just in case we don't understand it.

Another thing that helps us is if we have questions or don't get it.  He creates "Show-mes" and puts them on edmodo.  We can use edmodo to ask other students what we have for homework.  Show-mes help us because he can explain problems on our homework, work it out and talk also, so he can explain it.

Character challenges get us to do different things that we usually don't do every day.  He picks a category like kindness for example and does 5 challenges that relate to it.  We don't get any rewards if you complete them, but we get to do different things that we usually don't do on a daily basis.

Silly-brations are silly ways of getting us to get a little energetic and wake us up.  The first one we did was a simple clap, but we've learned many more.  For example, "we love math class babadupbupbup like we are farmers babadupbupbup".  And a lot more.

Even though Mr. Phillips is funny, he is a helpful and fantastic teacher.
